Description
Protek Decking Stain has been specially formulated to give all types of external timber decking an enriching colour that is hard wearing and lasts.
Once applied Protek Decking Stain leaves behind a hard durable surface that can withstand everyday foot traffic. It is a water based acrylic and Alkyd hybrid that incorporates a polyurethane dispersion based on linseed oil, a natural renewable resource.
It is hard wearing but will not last forever, as soon as you see the colour start to turn you know it’s time to slap another coat on or choose one of the other tints or shades from the Decking Stain range.
As well as great for deck staining, this waterproofing stain can also be used to colour and protect hardwood and softwood garden furniture, summerhouses etc.
This clear treatment is best used as a top coat to already coloured wood. It can be applied to bare wood, but the wood will age and discolour over time with exposure to sunlight.

The 2.5 litre tins will cover an area up to 20m2 per coat.
This is a protective water-repellent coating. If your timber isn’t treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use our Wood Preserver ++ first.
