Have More Questions About our Treated Timber?
1. Do you only supply softwood treated timber?
2. Are you able to cut timber roofing battens to custom sizes?
Yes, we offer a cutting service to ensure your treated timber battens are the exact dimensions for your project. Call our team to discuss your unique requirements and remember, due to saw kerf, cutting any timber will remove 5mm from the size.
3. What grades of timber do you have for sale?
All our fantastic range of treated timber products come in grades C16 and C24 making them incredibly sturdy and suitable for most tasks. C16 is an all-purpose durable timber and C24 is the highest grade, stronger material with fewer knots and imperfections making it ideal for bearing heavier loads.
4. How is your timber treated?
All our tanalised timber goes through a pressure-treating process to heighten its resistance to rot, decay and fungal ingress. Sawn, regularised timber is placed into a pressure-treatment chamber and a vacuum is applied to remove air from the wood’s cellular structure, allowing the timber to absorb the chemicals. The chemical solution is inserted into the chamber and pressure is applied to force it deep into the wood.
