MDF

MDF is typically stronger than Plywood and OSB and is a popular choice for many uses as it is relatively easy to cut, carve, shape and mould. MDF sheet material is often found in cabinets, wall panelling, partitioning and retail displays. It is also regularly used to make speaker enclosures as MDF generally has good acoustic properties and is used in sound proofing.

Plywood

Plywood is commonly used in construction for wall and roof sheathing, subfloors and as moulds for casting concrete. It is a superb choice for furniture including tables, chairs and beds, thanks to its strength and stability, and is used around the world in model making due to its versatility and ease of cutting and shaping.

OSB

OSB has a similar strength to Plywood but tends to have a lower price tag, making it a popular choice for construction sheathing, sub-flooring, temporary structures and creating packaging for shipping large items.

Moisture-resistant MDF
