Frequently Asked Questions
General
1. Will you send me the timber waste after it was cut to size?
Yes, we will. You may not want that piece attached to your timber product, but it is still part of your order. You paid for it, so you will receive it.
2. What are your opening hours?
Our website is open for business 24/7 and our trade counter is manned 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 12 pm on Saturdays. We take Sundays off.
3. How long will it take to process my order?
Our maximum order process time is 24 hours for orders placed before 4 pm, meaning it will be ready the very next day. We don’t process orders after 4 pm or on bank holidays until the following day.
4. Do you offer click and collect?
Absolutely. Depending on the size of the order and if your items are in stock, we will have them ready for you to collect up until 4:30 pm on the same day. If you are unsure whether your order fits the criteria, then get in touch with our friendly team who will advise you.
5. How can I open a trade account with you?
Our trade account application process is super simple. Complete our quick online application and supply us with one form of ID showing your status as a legal trader and you are good to go.
Timber
1. Is your timber sustainably sourced?
We are very proud members of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), and all our timber supplies come with an FSC sticker attached meaning your supplies have not contributed to any deforestation.
2. What grades are your timber products sold in?
All our timber supplies are either C16 or C24. The strength of timber is measured in grades, and these are the two most common in the UK. C16 is the more economical and readily available grade and C24 is stronger with fewer imperfections.
3. I want to order a type of timber I can’t see on the site – what do I do?
Whatever timber you require, we will be happy to try to source. We pride ourselves on our ability to obtain most variations. Simply contact us to discuss your project and specific requirements and we will endeavour to find your ideal timber.
4. Are you able to cut timber to size?
We certainly can, and as a special offer for all our online orders, we will do it absolutely free.
5. What types of timber do you stock?
Our fantastic range of softwood pine timber includes both treated and untreated variants for both structural and trim purposes. This includes pressure-treated and sawn timber, planed all round, mouldings, skirtings and architraves and a wide selection of sheet materials.
Delivery
1. Can you leave my items at my property without me there?
We can arrange to leave your order at your property in your absence if you so wish, but you must accept full liability for any possible occurrence once your order is no longer in our possession.
2. Do you offer kerbside delivery?
We offer kerbside delivery service as standard. You will need to ensure someone is waiting to accept delivery of your order unless something has been pre-arranged with our team when they call you to book the delivery with you personally. Our drivers work alone but are more than happy to assist you as much as they can. They regularly get mentioned in our Google reviews!
3. Will you let me know what time you are delivering my items?
Absolutely. This is one of the benefits of working with us and makes us stand out from other timber merchants. We call you personally to arrange the most convenient time and never just turn up.
4. Where do you deliver your timber products to?
We offer our fantastic fast and free delivery service to all customers within a 30-mile radius of our Coventry base. We don’t employ the services of a courier, so you can be confident you will receive your order in the same superb condition we sent it in.
Return Policy
1. What conditions do I need to meet to return an item?
We only have three rules when it comes to our return policy, the item must be in the same condition as when it was originally delivered, it must be within 30 days of purchase, and you must arrange return yourself.
2. Can you cancel my order if it’s not in stock?
If we are out of stock of the product you need, we have the right to cancel the order. Don’t worry though as we will let you know so you have time to source alternatives. It is very rare this happens.
3. Can clearance items be returned?
The idea of clearance items is we are trying to clear them to make space for new superb stock and sell them at a discount price. If they could be returned, we would need to rename the clearance section.
4. Can you collect any items that I want to return?
We offer our fantastic fast and free delivery service, but we can’t stretch to a collection service as well. If you wish to return your item, you will need to arrange this yourself.
5. How long do I have to return an item?
We offer all our customers a 30-day return policy. If your order arrives damaged or you are unhappy with any of the items you received, then please get in touch with our helpful team, so we can attempt to resolve the issue for you.
